postcards | impressions of Auckland

There are few places in the world celebrated for their natural beauty, New Zealand is one of them. For us Australians, it is so close in distance and similar in nature that it makes you feel like you're simply visiting a neighbour. But the picturesque landscape, infused with the Maori culture and the distinctive Kiwi accent can take you a world away from home. Here are a few snaps from our time in Auckland.

Happy Holidays from New Zealand |

To all my readers, whether you are hugging a mug of hot chocolate watching the snow outside, or chilling with a cool champagne under a sunny blue sky, I hope you are having a safe and joyous time with your loved ones.

See you in 2015 with more fashion moments. Remember: love life, love style, and most of all, treasure yourself.

A treat from Dear Diary Design |

KALEIDOSCOPE OF FASHION IS PROUDLY SUPPORTING DEAR DIARY DESIGN

As some of you know, my best friend Jaz, textiles designer and entrepreneur, started Dear Diary Design at the ripe young age of 22. The business has since grown from a home lounge room operation to stocking in stores Australia wide. As part of the continuing support for Dear Diary Design, I would like to personally invite you to the SALE, featuring some of the brand's brightest favourites, proudly designed and made in Australia.

If you are out and about in Melbourne this month, come along and help support a local designer! For my overseas readers, feel free to pop over to http://deardiarydesign.com for some unique Christmas goodies. Happy shopping!

sunday reading | #1

Image sourced from Mashable

Ever since I started working last year and, like the majority of the world, started living "for the weekend", Sundays have become a sacred day in my calendar. It seems to be the only day of the week when one can find time for thyself, find peace and reflect on the week that was, and the week ahead. Of course it is also a great day for catching up on reading.

New York Fashion Week | Spring 2015

breathe, breathe breathe...
that's what I keep telling myself as I finally jumped on Style.com for the Spring 2015 collections straight from New York, trying to keep my heart beat under control. After following runway shows on Style.com for 10 years (that's right!), I have finally given up trying to go through every single photo of every single show. I did try that for a while, it was exhausting and really not that productive in deciphering the new trends and up and coming designers, so now it's more a game of go where the hearts leads.

This season, the first place it led me to was Thom Browne, whose whimsical designs are at odds with the clean minimalist look typical of New York runways. But don't be fooled by the chaotic patterns, underneath the colours are structured trouser suits and stiff pleats fitting for a modern rendition of My Fair Lady.

ponder | the Net-A-Porter story

Earlier this week, I had an insightful discussion with a uni friend over lunch. The topic centred around the mental struggle that young professionals experience when they've fallen into a job that is different to what they are actually passionate about.

photoshoot inspiration | portraits

Portraits are one of my favourite shoots, especially when I'm shooting others, a subtle tilt of the head or a casual glance can instantly change the mood of the image.

ponder | grads

Can't believe that it has been one year since I stepped into my heels and walked into my very first grown-up job. It was also one year ago that I met my awesome grad group!
