Anja Rubik for Vogue Paris
Styled by Emmanuelle Alt and photographed by Inez and Vinoodh (perhaps the most talented photographer duo), this shoot features a series of images juxtaposing the styles of punk and royalty. Certainly an odd combination but it makes for some interesting play with couture. It is also one of those shoots that seems to ironically describe how we feel in modern day life, that sometimes we must put on this socially acceptable "face" in situations where all you want to say is...well, a host of profanities that voice your actual opinion. We keep our masks on to please society, but it is in art and fashion that we dare to show our true faces.
