I took my camera to uni today. Yep, Piper the Canon EOS 550D with its two lenses, the bulky camera bag along with my encyclopedia sized textbook and generally heavy uni bag. Here I thought I would be heading off to my best friend Jaz's house for a photo shoot of her product range today but, due to unforeseen circumstances blah blah the shoot didn't happen. Refusing to surrender to the idea that I have been carrying Piper around for nothing, I took it out on its very first night shoot around the city. Here are some light shots taken at Fed Square in Melbourne. Apart from the first and last photo, all were taken using swirly hand motions and a slow shutter against little lanterns suspended midair on thin wires.
