Perhaps it's the fact that Melbourne has now well and truly entered its colder months, with the windy, rainy days accompanied by chilly nights that make you want to curl up on the couch with lots of soup and Netflix. Yet somehow, ironically, off-the-shoulder tops have become my new style obsession.

After "Negotiations" class in which the topic of listening and knowing how to listen was discussed. One of the lecture slides featured the below quote: 

"If speaking is silver, then listening is gold" - Turkish proverb" 

Walking out of class with my Turkish friend Maz, I asked "are Turkish people good at listening then?" in response to the insightful proverb 

"Ummm" Maz thought for a moment, "no actually. But they are good at creating proverbs that tell other people how to listen. Such is the irony". 

Indeed.
